What's New
Enhanced Connectivity with Python
- Now, you can broaden your data connectivity with the addition of Python as a connection type. This expansion enables access to various data sets, including AWS S3 Buckets, Azure Blob Storage, Excel files, and more. Utilize the Validatar Data Agent to seamlessly begin your database testing journey.
Introduction of Validatar Marketplace
- With the addition of the Validatar Marketplace, users gain access to various data source templates, example tests, and test plans. This resource serves as a valuable repository to kickstart projects and initiatives, easing the initial setup process.
Extended Custom Field Creation
- Building on the capability to create custom fields for metadata objects, you can now also generate custom fields for Project items such as Tests, Jobs, and Labels, enhancing the flexibility and adaptability within the platform.
Streamlined Testing for Snowflake Data Sources
- Introducing the Data Quality Monitoring Quick Start project tailored specifically for testing Snowflake Data Sources. This project includes prebuilt tests and jobs, facilitating efficient and comprehensive monitoring without the need for extensive test creation, providing a swift start for testing Snowflake data sources.
Single Sign-On (SSO) Access
- Users can now conveniently log in to Validatar using Single Sign-On (SSO), streamlining and simplifying the authentication process for improved user experience and security.
Improvements
- The filters users add on the Results page are now preserved after navigating away from the page.
- Users can now create and materialize more than one template test for each metadata object, allowing for increased flexibility and broader testing capabilities.
- Implemented other minor UI/UX improvements.
Bug Fixes
- Addressed an issue where the bars within the Tests section in Explorer were not rendering accurately.
- Fixed a bug that prevented the proper functioning of importing references in profiles.
- Resolved an issue causing the failure of XML file imports that exclusively contained jobs.
- Fixed an issue that was preventing the deletion of report subscriptions.
- Corrected an issue where column statistics were not appearing within the Explorer.
