What's New

  • Test Engine Redesign - Our Test Engine has undergone a makeover for a sleeker, more powerful performance
    • Multi-column Testing

You can enable the Multi-Column Testing feature instance-wide or by specific project in Configuration Settings.

Improvements

  • Enhanced Job Notification Email
    • A new column in job result emails shows the number of key failures out of the total
    • Provide users with the option to view tests that errored in job notification emails
  • Updated Test Export and Import - Now includes new fields for a more comprehensive experience
  • Enforce Password Reuse Policy - Strengthen security by enforcing password reuse policies in Authentication settings
  • Enhanced Error Monitoring - Review returned data, files, and messages for errors or print statements across schema metadata, technical metadata, custom metadata, and lineage ingestion
  • Throttled Database Connections - Prevent timeouts caused by parallel processing by strategically throttling connections to the database
  • Improved Batch Executions - Streamlined batch execution of jobs, especially those involving large hierarchies
  • Expanded User-Related Activity Logging - Additional events are now logged for a more comprehensive user activity overview and better auditing
  • Template Test Builder Enhancements - Improvements to the template test builder that align with new UI changes
  • Template Test Defaults Updated - Default Metadata Driven selection type is now set to 'Select Objects'
  • Seamless Navigation to Results Detail - Users are now directed to the results details view when navigating from external pages like job notification emails
  • Optimized Snowflake Database Integration - Improved functionality when multiple data processing engines point to Snowflake databases
  • Enhanced Snowflake Validation Experience - Users will notice an improved overall experience when validating a Snowflake data processing engine

Bug Fixes

  • Addressed a bug preventing the 'Only Keep Failures' result configuration option from accurately reflecting string logic or custom calculation logic
  • Corrected an error that led to failures in tests run using the Snowflake processing engine when comparing to previous test executions
  • Fixed a bug causing an error when an archived data processing engine was set as the default while still active
  • Addressed a bug incorrectly displaying the same date for both the completed date and the start date in the Profile Executions table
