# Installing the Data Agent - Linux

## Installation Scripts

To install the Validatar Data Agent on Linux, you must download and execute a script on the server. Find the appropriate script for your variant of Linux below. Given the varied setup of Linux across organizations, these scripts serve as a starting point and may require modifications to align with your specific environment.

### Ubuntu 20.04

```bash
wget -N https://admin.cloud.validatar.com/assets/releases/data-agent/2026-1/data-agent-install-ubuntu-20-04.sh
sudo chmod u+x data-agent-install-ubuntu-20-04.sh
sudo bash data-agent-install-ubuntu-20-04.sh
```

### Ubuntu 22.04

```bash
wget -N https://admin.cloud.validatar.com/assets/releases/data-agent/2026-1/data-agent-install-ubuntu-22-04.sh
sudo chmod u+x data-agent-install-ubuntu-22-04.sh
sudo bash data-agent-install-ubuntu-22-04.sh

### Ubuntu 24.04

## Connecting to Validatar Data Agent after Install

Open a browser on a different computer and enter the following URL: http://<ip-address-of-server>:3282
