Use the following steps to complete the upgrade. 1. Backup the existing version 1. Backup the Validatar SQL Server or PostgreSQL metadata database. 2. On the Validatar web server, open Windows Explorer to the folder where you previously installed Validatar (typically C:\inetpub), and create a copy of the Validatar folder just in case you need to roll back to the previous version. 2. Install the new version 1. On the web server, download the latest Validatar installer from [https://admin.cloud.validatar.com/releases](https://admin.cloud.validatar.com/releases) 2. Complete the upgrade by running the downloaded installer. If your environment is missing required dependencies, download them using the links provided in the Validatar installer. After installing all dependencies, close the Validatar installer and re-run it, then complete the upgrade. 3. Open Validatar in a web browser. If the new version requires changes to the Validatar database, you'll see the progress of the upgrade scripts that are executed. Once all upgrade scripts are finished, the login screen will appear. 3. Verify upgrade 1. Log into Validatar to verify that the application was upgraded successfully.
