New Features


  • Template Test Creation from Standard Tests
    • Now, seamlessly transform your standard tests into dynamic templates, empowering you to replicate and adapt your testing environment effortlessly.
  • Direct Creation of Template Tests from the Explorer
    • Instantly craft template tests directly from a curated list of tables or columns within the Explorer, simplifying and accelerating the test creation process with unparalleled ease and speed. Choose one or multiple tables or columns from the Explorer view and initiate the creation of a Template Test with a simple click on 'Create Template Test'.


Improvements


  • Enabled bulk editing of Custom Fields for various items such as projects, tests, jobs, labels, and metadata objects.
  • Enhanced Metadata-Driven template tests by enabling object selection alongside filter usage, simplifying the process by allowing users to search for metadata.
  • Implemented the ability to drag and drop job steps for more intuitive job management.
  • Added the feature to include links to tests in report subscription emails for easier access, similar to job notification emails.
  • Improved the Project detail page for quicker access to schedules, associated data sources, and metadata, enhancing overall project management.
  • Implemented enhancements to password functionality for increased security and user control.
  • Improved clarity in messaging when deleting tests and jobs for better user understanding and error prevention.
  • Completed other minor UI/UX improvements.

Bug Fixes


  • Addressed an issue where changes to metadata objects in template tests did not trigger an error once the object became invalid.
  • Fixed the rendering problem of lineage diagrams that were not displaying correctly for certain users.
  • Restored users' access to historical test execution results for inactive data sources.
  • Resolved a bug where jobs referencing disabled data sources didn't continue running valid tests as expected.
  • Fixed an issue impacting data sources using the Snowflake engine but not connected directly to Snowflake itself.
  • Corrected the filtering and sorting of test execution results, ensuring accuracy.
  • Fixed the inability of child tests to materialize if a test lacked a necessary metadata object.
  • Restored functionality to Excel file links that weren't showing properly for subscribed reports.
  • Improved the accuracy of values and columns in the Job Execution report data set.
  • Fixed a bug to properly release memory previously occupied by Python scripts upon cancellation.
  • Corrected a bug causing inaccuracies in custom calculation expressions when a Test Data Set lacked a Data Source.
  • Adjusted the display of custom field date fields incorrectly affected by time zone differences.
