Powered by Snowflake

Overview

With our Powered by Snowflake features, Validatar enables you to leverage Snowflake compute and storage for all your data QA activities. By seamlessly integrating with Snowflake, Validatar allows you to test any data within your Snowflake environment, eliminating the need for data to ever leave the Snowflake ecosystem. Data that exists outside of Snowflake can still be queried and the test results will go straight into your Snowflake environment for evaluation and storage.

If you prefer to utilize Validatar's built-in comparison engine for test processing while storing the results in Snowflake, that option is available to you. You have the flexibility to manage this choice on a data source level. Refer to "Data Processing Engines" to learn more about this configuration.

Powered by Snowflake on Cloud

Validatar Cloud is specially designed so that customers can leverage the power and scale of Snowflake for their testing, profiling, and monitoring needs. For Snowflake Customers this means that Validatar Cloud stores any test result or profile data within Snowflake and that no data comes to the Validatar Cloud repository. 

For data sources that have been set to use the Powered by Snowflake database processing engine all testing and profiling are orchestrated seamlessly within your Snowflake account by Validatar Cloud. This orchestration allows for the storage of test data and subsequent results in the dedicated Results repository within Snowflake. Any data that already resides in Snowflake can be queried directly and remains within its secure environment, eliminating the need for data movement during the testing process. 

All other non-Snowflake data sources whether they are on-premise, residing behind a firewall, or remote or in the cloud can also be sent to Snowflake through the use of the Validatar Data Agent. This means that even this data never has to come to the Validatar Cloud, it can go directly through your Validatar Data Agent from your on-premise or cloud systems and files directly to Snowflake with all subsequent test evaluations then being done using Snowflake.

Once your tests or profiles have been run, you can conveniently access and review the results through Validatar's user-friendly web interface, ensuring a secure and streamlined experience while all your data and results stay in Snowflake.

Powered by Snowflake on Server 

With Validatar Server, just like Validatar Cloud, for data sources that have been set to use the Powered by Snowflake database processing engine, all testing and profiling activities are orchestrated seamlessly within your Snowflake account. This orchestration allows for the storage of test data and subsequent results in the dedicated Results repository within Snowflake. Any data that already resides in Snowflake can be queried directly within Snowflake and remains within its secure environment, eliminating the need for data movement during the testing process.

On-premises data residing behind a firewall and remote data sources can also be sent to Snowflake either by being queried directly by Validatar Server or via a Validatar Data Agent. The subsequent test evaluation is then done in Snowflake.

Just like Validatar Cloud, you can then conveniently access and review the results through Validatar's user-friendly web interface, ensuring a secure and streamlined experience while all your data and results stay in Snowflake.
